after 19 years in teacher's village, after three weeks of cleaning after Ondoy, we realized our life will never be normal. So ed and I decided we will make our future greener than our past by learning how to live a green life. what is green living for us? leaner, lighter and learn-rich. we start with eating MILA seeds, the omega fat rich diet of the AZTECz. we bought it from the jopsons and started one spoonful a day. ed and i have enough stamina for the day's rock and roll. a green mind and green hands. we have practised vermiculture and our garden is full of veggies and herbs which the worms lovingly make abundant. i make green edible bouquets for events and people love the aroma of these bouquets. there are now new spaces for our bookshelves. many of our books and files had to be fed to the worms since no matter how we dry them, colonies of fungi were making them black and smelly. each day, we discover how to recycle things like computer cables and wiresthat can be transformed into beautiful necklaces. i saw an artist, ann wizer, wearing computer wires woven around her neck with a plastic accessory bent like a whorl. it was trendy.
